Day 5 — the patient factory. A public ward needs patients nobody wrote by hand. So the ward has a factory: a job every ten minutes that reads the ward and builds exactly as many patients as the queue is short. A patient is three things — a case the ward already holds, a person we invented, and her picture. The factory writes none of the medicine, admits nobody, and holds no key. Who: a pool of 400 invented people from 74 countries, both sexes per country, no ages — the case carries the band. Where from: the draw is weighted by people per doctor (World Bank, each country's latest year). The country furthest behind its share is drawn next; spread rules keep the board looking like the world (≤ 2 per country in the last 20, ≥ 12 countries, ≥ 6 regions, no region 40 draws without a patient, ≤ 40 % of beds). A refused draw is redrawn, never skipped, and every redraw is written into the plan. Which case: from the ward's own catalogue only — sex must match, age inside a window around the case's patient, one persona is one person. Her face: one base made locally, five states edited on Vertex, each edit judged twice — same person? shows the state? — or left out. No picture of a dead patient. Why it never duplicates: writes land the moment they are true; the door is content-addressed; a crash costs a minute, never a second copy. Tonight: 20 patients from 18 countries waiting at the production door (preview). 40 image edits a day, ≈ USD 1 a day at list price. https://world.vitals.academy/?src=colosseum
