EtheRings devlog | September 14–21, 2026
This week, I signed an ERU transfer on an Android phone and checked the result on Solana Devnet.
30 ERU reached the recipient. Another 0.6 ERU went to the platform treasury. The phone showed the full 30.6 ERU before signing, and I verified the finalized balances independently of the confirmation screen.
That was the happy path. The more interesting test came next.
I deliberately made the development backend return an error after the network had already accepted a signed transaction. The app did not call it successful or ask for another payment. It kept the outcome unresolved. After a backend restart, reconciliation found the finalized transaction and confirmed the existing operation.
No second transfer was needed.
For EtheRings—a mobile game connecting movement, progression and collecting—this matters more than a convincing balance animation.
Other work during the period:
• Tested email verification, wallet creation, recovery and account binding on a physical Android device.
• Proved one test NFT Box issuance, chain-backed inventory and a 48-hour direct-transfer cooldown on Devnet.
• Published and hash-checked 26 Ring artworks on IPFS. The on-chain design set was still an empty draft at the September 21 cutoff.
I also simplified the Alpha wallet plan: an embedded self-custodial wallet now, rather than keeping the more complex smart-account path on the critical path.
This is development progress, not an Alpha launch. Full Box opening, gameplay integration and the marketplace still need work. The public Android MVP remains off-chain.
