UI Update: "Working" & "Hiring" - Why We Killed the Old Role Names

We just pushed a UI update that removes "Employer" and "Employee" and replaces them with "Working" and "Hiring."

Small change. Big shift.

Why it matters:

Traditional platforms lock you into one identity: you're either the employer or the employee.

But Worqen users aren't locked. One person can be working on a contract while simultaneously

hiring others. A DAO can post a job and take on work. A freelancer becomes a project lead.

The old language didn't match reality.

What changed:

- No more "Employer" role. You're "Hiring."

- No more "Employee" role. You're "Working."

- Same escrow. Same Score. Clearer language.

The numbers behind this: 621 users · 37 payouts released · $5.0k in volume · 0 disputes.

We tested the escrow engine extensively. It works. We tested the Score algorithm - the basis formula tracks. We tested role transitions, and they work too. The old labels were the bottleneck, not the mechanics.

This is what "crypto-native" means: work that isn't bound to legacy employment categories. You work, you hire, you build. That's it.
