How can we connect machines, humans and wetware to study collective intelligence? That’s the question we’re building around.
TerraScope, a node in a larger DePIN, already handles the physical side: an open hardware microscope whose observations can be verified on-chain. Now we’re building the digital side.
This week, we’ve been busy building a playable evolution engine where digital microbes, or cryptobes, forage, swarm and evolve across an adaptive landscape. The engine is finally coming alive: cryptobes move through the terrain, interact with resources and evolve. Each cryptobe carries computational chromosomes, created by the remnant AI, inspired by gene categories from a real comparative genomics analysis. Click any creature and its chromosome inspector opens: gene bars, perceptron weights, live event log.
This hackathon is pushing us to put the pieces of the bigger picture together. In the near future everyone is a scientist.
