Update — from concept to real hardware

Our latest demo shows Pathnod running on a real iPhone and ESP32: the phone discovers the device over Bluetooth, sends fresh challenges and verifies the device’s signed responses.

The video shows three signatures verified directly on the iPhone — a concrete step toward giving physical networks independent signals from nearby phones, rather than relying only on self-reported data.

We’ve also strengthened the ESP32 firmware with replay protection and persistent counters, and updated our website to explain the approach, introduce the team and show the hardware demo.

One important distinction: this video demonstrates the local device–phone exchange. It is not an end-to-end Solana demo or proof of an exact GPS location.

Next, we’re expanding real-device testing and measuring reliability and battery impact. We’re also looking to speak with DePIN teams about where deployment verification breaks down today and what a useful pilot would look like.
