Week one: the gate holds, and our own screens did not
Last week's update ended on a promise to show the Token-2022 admission path running on a
live chain rather than in our test suite. Done. Devnet now carries ten Token-2022 equity
fixtures, pools against USDC, and gauges voting on them: epoch 2959 currently holds votes
on USDC/TSLAx and USDC/NVDAx, pairs that did not exist a week ago.
Seven of those mints are admitted on purpose. They carry an unarmed transfer hook slot and
a permanent delegate, which is the shape real tokenized equities ship in, plus a pausable
config on GLDx and a scaled-UI one on SLVx. Refusing them would exclude the entire asset
class, so we allow them and disclose what the issuer can still do to you. The residual risk
we cannot close in code: an empty hook slot can be armed after a pool exists.
Three exist to be turned away, one per rejection branch. Opening a pool on any of them
returns UnsupportedMintExtension (6057):
BADFEE 9rtNk1Y9sZLGwNLw4D1HHbMm4ByQJMHf4dHNdecQsg1U transfer fee
BADHOOK EnGu5r2ZrReGn3ThyotWzJvRU8TtYpuYo5x8qsCHneKE armed transfer hook
BADFROZ EUvivbQG2sm86abwG79aYn7Mkn436nRYhCF5nNnzdQmM default-frozen accounts
The notable challenge was not the program, it was our interface. Every screen showing a
bribe carried its own hardcoded symbol table, built from mints derived from a program ID we
rotated in August, and divided reward amounts by the protocol's decimals while the reward
mint is arbitrary. On a USDC/TSLAx gauge the claim preview promised a hundred times what
the instruction actually pays, on the exact screen where a voter decides whether a bribe is
worth a vote. The lesson we did not have before: a derived address does not contain the
string of the program ID that produced it, so it survives every search you run after a key
rotation. Both pages now read one shared registry.
Next week: strategies. Harvesting fees, emissions and bribes, rebalancing and redepositing
is five signatures today. It becomes one recipe the user signs, in one transaction, with an
honest answer when the harvest would cost more than it collects. No keeper, no delegated
key.
